Christmas is a good area to research. How about a question along the lines of 'How far does Christmas advertising encourage consumers to live beyond their means and overspend?'

Think abour asking people their opinions via questionnaires. Analyse adverts and also find some advertising theory to support your argument. Use current adverts.
